Islamabad 16 Oct 2009: All parties Hurriyat Conference AJK has once again reiterated it’s stand on the dialogue issue with India to set in thaw and step up the process for a just, fair and durable solution of the Kashmir dispute, which continues to be a festering wound in the body politics of the region for the last 62 years. This was emphasized here today by Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Convener of the conglomerate headed by Syed Ali Gilani.

He said the martyrdom of over one hundred thousand Kashmiris was not a joke, especially under the prevailing global situation, when OIC, China and Libya had extended their fulfledged support to the people of the Kashmir state by recognizing the basics of the dispute so essential for the peace and prosperity of Asian continent which could lead towards the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir imbroglio. He said the APHC believed in a result-oriented dialogue, not in talks for the sake of talks.

He said that India being bent upon the rigidity of its’ Attot Ang claim had blocked the path towards any solution of Kashmir dispute, and at the same time the Indian establishment was leaving no stone unturned to bracket the youth of Kashmir with terrorists, a wrong comparison which needs to be taken note of in the broader interests of the regional peace and stability. Emphasizing on the peaceful resolution of the dispute he said that the benchmark was the right of self determination which could not be ignored in any situation what so ever. He stated that the parties which begged for dialogue without the right of self determination were deceiving the inhabitants of Kashmir and would gain nothing out of this drama. (PR)
