Kashmir Dastgeer Sahib Shrine RA-Shutdown, restrictions hit normal life in Valley-26June2012

Srinagar: A day after the shrine of Peer Dastgeer Sahib (RA) at Khanyar in old city was gutted in a devastating fire incident, normal life across the Kashmir Valley came to a standstill on Tuesday due to a shutdown called by separatists and restrictions, undeclared curfew imposed by the govt authorities in old Srinagar.
Shops, business establishments, banks and schools are closed while traffic is off the roads. Police and paramilitary CRPF men have been deployed in large numbers across the city to thwart protests. Police have imposed undeclared curfew in many areas of the old city.
