All Parties Kashmir Conference have condemned unprovoked Indian firing on the Line of Control and demanded of the UN to take notice of the repeated aggression by Indian forces.
Islamabad 19 Jan 2013: At the conclusion of a day-long All Parties Kashmir Conference in Islamabad today (Saturday)‚ they adopted a joint declaration urging OIC‚ European Union‚ SAARC‚ ASEAN‚ African Union and human rights organisations to take notice of ceasefire violation by India.
The Conference was convened by All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference and participated by Kashmir leadership.
It noted that the UN resolutions provide for a practicable road map for resolution of the longstanding Kashmir dispute.
The participants demanded that Kashmiris being a party to the dispute‚ they should be included in Pakistan-India dialogue to make it substantial and meaningful.
Chairman Kashmir Committee of the Parliament Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the Kashmir issue can be resolved through serious dialogue.
He said there can’t be durable peace in South Asia without resolution of the dispute as per aspirations of Kashmiri people.
AJK Prime Minister Ch. Abdul Majeed said the international community should take notice of repeated violation of ceasefire by India on the LoC.
He questioned as to why the Kashmir dispute is being ignored if the world community is talking about withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and resolution of the problem through dialogue.Former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan said the UN resolutions strengthen Pakistan’s case on Kashmir.
He said Kashmiris have rendered great sacrifices for their just cause.
APHC-G Conveners Ghulam Muhammad Safi and APHC-M Memhmood Saghar also spoke on occasion they urged world powers to build pressure on India to stop human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
