afzal guru, maqbool bhat, kashmir,Islamabad: The Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has paid glowing tributes to the martyrdom of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, who were taken to gallows to crush the liberation struggle of Jammu and Kashmir. In both cases the Indian judiciary failed to uphold the principle of independence of judiciary, transparency and impartiality, but boasted to act according to the so-called “collective conscience of its people.”

He said that India lived in fool’s paradise if it thought that with the passage of time the liberation movement would die down. Martyrdom is hall-mark of Kashmir movement. The struggle of Kashmir is rooted in the minds of people and India can’t defeat a motivated and brave nation as Kashmir, he said. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said no power on earth could extinguish the flame of freedom by Maqbool Butt, Afzal Guru and thousands of martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, it was the duty of international community to resolve the long standing dispute of Kashmir according to the right of self-determination without further delay
