Srinagar: Human rights group Amnesty International on Wednesday asked security forces to avoid use of excessive force against protesters in Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar, Feb 11: Authorities Wednesday placed several areas under undeclared curfew to prevent protests on the anniversary of hanging of Maqbool Bhat who was executed on this day in 1984 inside New Delhi’s Tihar jail. Areas in old city falling under six police stations were placed under the curfew since today morning.
