Pakistan’s support to Kashmir cause reaffirmed
Islamabad, March 23 : Pakistan has reaffirmed its unwavering support to the Kashmiris’ just struggle for securing their right to self-determination.
Pakistan President, Mamnoon Hussain in his address to the Pakistan Day parade in Islamabad, today, said that India’s irresponsible behaviour had been jeopardising the peace of the region.
“We are ready for dialogue with India and want to resolve the Kashmir dispute, which is incomplete agenda of the division of the subcontinent, in accordance with the UN resolutions on Kashmir,” he said. The President also urged the international community to play its role for resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
Meanwhile, Pakistan High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, speaking on Pakistan Day function at the High Commission in New Delhi called for resolving the Kashmir dispute, which was the main cause of tension between Pakistan and India.
“Issue of Jammu and Kashmir must be resolved as per aspirations of Kashmiris,” he said. He maintained that Pakistan had always tried to maintain good relations with its neighbours and wanted good relations with India too. “We hope that we will be able to solve our differences and issues especially the Kashmir issue,” he said.
Abdul Basit also extended support to the Kashmiris saying that their struggle is for the freedom. “Struggle for freedom of Kashmiri people will one day succeed by the grace of Allah,” he added.
