Srinagar, April 15:  Indian troops killed a youth Sajad Ahmad a roadside vender and injured another in Batamaloo area of Srinagar on Saturday evening.

Youth Sajad Ahmad Waza, resident of Tangamarg, was shot dead by Border Security Forces’ (BSF) personnal, who were passing through the area.

A police officer said that BSF is involved in the incident. He said the BSF has taken a route that is usually not being permitted for the paramilitary forces.

The incident has triggered sort of a crisis in Batamaloo. People have closed their business and are on the road. Indian troops fired tear smoke shells at many places to disperse people.

The body was received by a huge gathering from SMHS hospital and taken towards Nawab Bazar. The mourners are on way to Batmaloo.
