Bandipora: A 22-year-old Bandipora youth who was killed in forces’ firing in Rangreth area of Srinagar yesterday was laid to rest amid pro-freedom slogans at his native Ashtengoo village of the north Kashmir district.

Naseer Ahmad Sheikh was killed after Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel opened fire to disperse protesters who pelted them with stones in Rangreth.

People in large number attended his last rites in Ashtengoo village in Bandipora. They were shouting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

Sheikh was later laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Ashtengoo.

Meanwhile, complete shutdown in being observed in his native village while as partial shutdown is being observed in Bandipora town.
