Srinagar: Protests rocked University of Kashmir against the killing of LeT commander Abu Dujana on Tuesday.
Hundreds of students raised pro-Pakistan and pro-Abu Dujana slogans while protesting against the killing. Students have also prepared for funeral prayers in abstensia for the militant commander.
Meanwhile, police has foiled a sit in protest of IUST students in Awantipora and resorted to heavy tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting students.
A civilian, identified as Firdous Ahmed Khan, of Beghum Bagh area of district Pulwama was shot dead by forces during post encounter clashes in the area.
Meanwhile, classwork in all colleges and schools across the Kashmmir valley were suspended for today as per an order issues by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir in view of killing of LeT commander Abu Dujana.
Pertenintly, all the telecom companies have been directed to block the internet services including 2G, 3G and 4G till further orders in Kashmir valley.
Soon after the news of killing of top LeT commander Abdu Dujana spread, the students of Bemina Degree Collge, Amar Singh College and GDC Kulgam clashed with police.
Police has used to heavy tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting students.
Intense clashes were also reported from many areas of Shopian district in which four people have been injured.
Forces have also resorted to indiscriminate firing inside District Hospital Pulwama in which several staff members and students present in the hospital were injured.
Abu Dujana the top LeT commander along with an associate was today killed in a fierce encounter with the forces in Hakipora area of district Pulwama.
