“His all family members including his old aged parents and wife were severely beaten as they tried to save Gulzar from getting detained,” alleged locals.
Another child namely Wasim Ahmed Dar (11), son of Shabir Ahmed Dar was also hit by forces, they said.
He was admitted to sub district hospital Tral.

“We received three injury cases including one infant with serious abdomen trauma injury. They are undergoing treatment,” doctors at SDH Tral said.
Forces also detained seven persons and wounded 13 including two infants.
Locals alleged that forces even did not spare kids as they hit them with guns resulting into their injuries.
The incident took place on Monday morning after army vehicles were passing through the Wagad village.
“As they found the road blocked, forces entered into the village and ransacked the residential houses and Masjids. Forces also broke window panes, smashed goods and accessories,” locals told Greater Kashmir.

Following the incident, scores of people including men, women and children assembled on Tral-Satura highway and raised anti-India slogans.
On Sunday night, forces allegedly barged into the residence of the Hizb militant Mushtaq Ahmed Chopan and thrashed his old aged father, Ghulam Ahmed Chopan.
Soon after the news about thrashing of militant Chopan’s family at the hands of forces spread, a spontaneous shutdown was observed in Tral, Aripal and its adjoining areas on Monday.
When contacted Inspector General of police, Kashmir range Muneer Ahmed Khan denied the involvement of police in the incident.
“On Sunday army had gone to the village for questioning of the father of Hizb militant Mushtaq Chopan. But locals pelted army with stones, resulting in injuries to one army trooper. On Monday army visited the village and found the road blocked and later beat them (locals) up,” IGP said.
