Srinagar: A militant was killed and two army men injured in an ongoing gunfight with the government forces in Dragad village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday.
Reports said that the militants have taken shelter in the house of an IPS officer posted outside Jammu and Kashmir.
Two to four militants are believed to have been engaged by 3 RR and 44 RR of army, 14 Bn CRPF and SOG Shopian.
The exchange of fire was on at the time of filing of this report.

Meanwhile, train and Internet services were suspended in south Kashmir on Sunday following the killing of two militants in Anantnag and Shopian districts of south Kashmir.
Official sources said the train service from Srinagar to Banihal has been suspended today. However, the trains chug between Srinagar and Baramulla.
Mobile Internet service has been blocked in Shopian and Anantnag district of south Kashmir.
While the Anantnag gunfight ended with the killing of a Hizb militant, firing exchange continues between the forces and the militant at two village – Kachdoora and Dragad – in Shopian district.
