Bandipora villages in Siege 153 troopers commit suicide since Jan 07
Srinagar, September 30-2009 : In occupied Kashmir, three Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force personnel were killed in an attack in Sopore town.
The constables of CRPF troopers of 179-battalion were killed at a bus stand in Sopore, while two civilians including a woman were injured in the shoot out by the troops after the incident.
The attackers also snatched two rifles from the troops before making good their escape from the scene of the incident.
An Indian trooper of 85/Armed Regiment committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle inside his unit at Ratnuchak in Jammu while a Special Police Officer (SPO) committed suicide by shooting himself with the service rifle at Kulhand in Doda. This brought the number of such deaths among the troops to 153 since January 2007.
Meanwhile, a sub inspector of 6th Bn CRPF died in mysterious circumstances at Katra in Jammu.

In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred seven more innocent Kashmiri youth during a three-day siege and search operation at a village in Bandipore.
A trooper was killed in an attack in the same area.
The sources said that the troops used gunship helicopters during the operation.
The APHC sources in Srinagar said, Indian troops arrest Kashmiri youth from different parts of the occupied territory and kill them in fake encounters after bringing them in the areas near the Line of Control.
On the other hand, members of the Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons held a silent protest sit-in in Srinagar to draw world attention towards the plight of the relatives of the Kashmiris disappeared in custody.
