Military pull out must for peace. UN and OIC Chiefs urged to take up Kashmir – Muhammad Farooq Rehmani
Grief Expressed over air crash and floods
Islamabad, 31 Jul, 2010(PR): Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Chairman Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) People’s Freedom League (PFL) has strongly condemned India for its free-bullet-pelting policy in Kashmir on the Kashmiris with impunity—warning that the current slaughtering campaign by the paratroopers would further add fuel to fire.
He expressed deep anguish over more innocent killings in Kashmir on Friday and Saturday, and emphasized the need to take up the Kashmir dispute by both UN chief and OIC Chief before the two world forums to hammer out a just and honorable solution according to the wishes of the Kashmiris.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani hailed the historical judgment of the International Court of Justice on the unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo in 2008 to be legal and not violating the general international law and said that the same must be applied to the State of Jammu and Kashmir; India should be brought before the ICJ for its violations of the international humanitarian Law in Kashmir. He said that Kashmir deserved freedom and right of self determination under the canons of the Security Council resolutions and its precedents.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani expressed profound shock over the loss of precious human lives in recent Air blue crash in the Margalla Hills and countrywide death and destruction by floods caused due to torrential Monsoon rains. Expressing sympathies with the victims of calamities, he hoped that the nation would face the tragedy with patience and determination. In the meanwhile the J&K PFL met here to express its heartfelt sympathies with the survivors of Margalla and flood tragedies and prayed to Allah for heavenly blessings on the departed souls.
