Srinagar(KNS): A high level delegation of European Union is arriving here on May 1 to discuss latest political developments related to Kashmir issue with top mainstream and separatist politicians, sources told local news agency KNS.
It has been reliably learnt that the EU delegation will prepare a detailed report on situation in Kashmir during there three-day visit.
In the back drop of dialogue process between India and Pakistan, political observers, consider the visit as significant.
The delegation is expected to meet Governor, N N Vohra, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Member Parliament, Dr Mehboob Beg, CPI (M) state Secretaty, M Y Tarigami, senior BJP leader, Ashok Khujaria, chairmen of both factions of Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, JKLF chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik and other senior separatist leaders, sources added.
“The EU delegation will discuss human rights violation issue with the Governor and the Chief Minister,” sources said.
The delegation will also interact with civil society groups.
