-Bandipora,Kashmir , July 17 : Hundreds of people staged protest against the presence of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp and bunker in the main market of Bandipora district headquarters.
The protesters while marching in the Bandipora streets demanded removal of CRPF camp from the town.
The protesters said that the camp had been set up in the building of a bank for the past 20 years and a main bunker had blocked the access to the people. The massive presence of Indian armed forces has worsened the daily business and life of the people.
The protesters warned of a sit-in outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office followed by a daylong hunger strike in the main Bandipora Chowk if the authorities did not meet their demand.
