PM Raja Pervez Ashraf says Pakistan is committed to constructive engagement with India for the settlement of all disputes including that of the Jammu and Kashmir.
Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to continue extending moral‚ diplomatic and political support to the Kashmiri people in their struggle of self determination.
He was talking to President Azad Jammu and Kashmir‚ Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan‚ Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed and former Prime Minister Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry in Islamabad on Tuesday. He said Pakistan is committed to constructive engagement with India for the settlement of all disputes including that of the Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that Pakistan believes in peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and wishes of the Kashmiri people. He said that a peaceful resolution of the issue is essential for the progress and prosperity of South Asian.
The Prime Minister assured that all necessary funds for development projects would be released in time to ensure its timely completion.
The President and Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir lauded Pakistani leadership for their unequivocal and continued support for the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people.
Earlier addressing a ceremony of Gujar Khan Bar Association‚ Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf said solution of country’s problems lies in democracy.
He said it is for the first time in sixty five years history of the country that a democratically elected government is completing its tenure.
He said this reflects that the democracy has taken strong roots in the country.
