The guest of honour was Green Task Force’s Chairman Dr Jamal Nasir. Naheed Manzoor and Waqar Ahmed, RAC Resident Director also attended the event. Students of over 20 schools from Rawalpindi and Islamabad participated in contests adjudged by Iqbal Tabasum, Salman Tahir and Muhammad Awais.
In the category of group songs, Sringle House School secured first, Woods Montessori got second, FG Girls Secondary School, Lalazar, third while DPS Girls branch remained fourth. In the tableau competition based on Kashmiri songs and current situation, Woods Montessori secured first, Springle House got second, Eden School achieved third while Aims School remained fourth.
Chairman Green Task Force Dr Jamal Nasir paid homage to the Kashmiri martyrs and highlighted the plight of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination.
