Srinagar, August 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chief Organiser of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Mohammad Altaf Khan has said that the ongoing clashes along the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan are being deliberately perpetuated by India to divert attention of the international community from the Kashmir dispute.
According to KMS, Mohammad Altaf Khan in a statement issued in Srinagar said that by engaging Pakistan on LoC India was trying to push the Kashmir dispute on the backburner and portray it as a mere ‘border issue’ between India and Pakistan.
He said that under a well-planned strategy, India was trying to keep the border skirmishes continuing so as to mislead the international community that Kashmir dispute was actually a ‘border issue. He said that
Altaf expressed concern over the loss of life and property due to the clashes and said until the Kashmir dispute was not settled according to the wishes of Kashmiri people the fear of war between the two nuclear neighbours would continue.
He urged the UN, world community, International Court of Justice and other impartial organisations to investigate the reality and help implement the UN resolutions on Kashmir.
