‘Men women on roads protesting; situation terrible’
Srinagar, Sep 11: In Indian-controlled Kashmir another youth was killed and 08 other injured by Indian Para-military troops (CRPF) firing at Gagrain Shopian today, where CRPF firing on Saturday had claimed four innocent lives as reported earlier.
Paramilitary CRPF men of the Gagrain camp once again opened fire killing a Sumo driver Rafi Hussain Rather son of Ghulam Qadir Rather of Saidpora village.Veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Geelani has called a complete shutdown tomorrow on Thursday 12 September against the brutal killing of innocent youth in Shopian and critically wounded many other today.
He has also called peaceful protests after the Friday Prayers as already appealed against the Shopian Killings.
An eyewitness told journalists, “around eight people have been injured and among them three are seriously injured who are getting shifted to SHMS in Srinagar.”
Eyewitness further said that people including women, children, men are on roads and protests are going on in the Gagran Shopian, where Mohammad Rafiq Rather was killed ‘Teargas shelling and gun shots are continuously fired on protesters and the number of injured person is increasing.”
Pertinently, Rafiq has been shot dead near the same Indian troops CRPF camp where the other slain youth were killed on Saturday.
