Srinagar, September 29: In Kashmir(IOK), the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has expressed serious concern over the bulldozing of eighteen residential houses of the Kashmiri Pundits by the puppet administration without any prior notice.
According to KMS, Syed Ali Gilani talking to a delegation of the community at his residence in Srinagar, criticizing the authorities, said that, on one hand, the puppet Chief Minister of the territory, Omar Abdullah, was pleading for their repatriation to score political point and, on the other, a local member of the so-called Legislative Assembly demolished residential houses of the Pundits in Habbakadal against their will.
Syed Ali Gilani said that Kashmiri Pundits were part and parcel of the Kashmir society and protection of their lives and properties was responsibility of Muslims.
The Pandit delegation thanked Syed Ali Gilani for his moral support and in a unanimous voice said that they saluted selfless service provided by him and added that they were grateful for his moral support and were all praised and fascinated for his consistent approach.
He said that the Indian government and its occupation forces in the territory were continuously committing rights violations in the territory, deploring that innocent youth were being killed and arrested without any justification.
Meanwhile, an interesting situation at a court in Srinagar occurred when police gave a statement before the learned judge that he tried his best to search Syed Ali Gilani but could not succeed, as he could not find out his whereabouts. After the statement, the counsels of Gilani present a local newspaper to the leaned judge and diverted his attention towards the report that Gilani had been under house arrest for last seven month.
The judge ordered the IGP to clear the statement of police regarding Syed Ali Gilani.
Syed Ali Gilani today, September 29, reached the age of 84 year and remained under house arrest.
