Islamabad, Nov 06: A seminar was held, today, at APHC AJK office in Islamabad to pay tributes to the martyrs of Jammu.
The seminar was chaired by the Convener, Syed Yousuf Naseem and the speakers included the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl, Farzana Yaqoob and others.The speakers said that the people of Kashmir would continue their fight till securing their inalienable right to self-determination and end to the illegal occupation of India over Kashmir. They paid rich tributes to the Jammu martyrs, adding that lacs of Kashmiris on November 6 in 1947 rendered their lives for the great cause. He said that the mission of Kashmiri martyrs would continue till the presence of a single Indian trooper in the occupied territory.
The speakers strongly denouncing the continued rights violations and plight of the political prisoners languishing in the jails of India and the occupied territory, appealed to the international community to play its role in stopping the violations and settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute so that permanent peace could be established in the region.
They said that every type of sacrifice would be given for accomplishment of Kashmiri martyrs’ mission. He said that durable peace in the region was impossible without the settlement of the Kashmir dispute under the UN resolutions and in accordance with the aspirations of its people.
They said that November 6, 1947 was the blackest chapter in the history of Kashmir and the sacrifices of Jammu martyrs would not go waste. Struggle against the Indian aggression would continue till complete success, they added.
