Srinagar, Jan 31: A complete shutdown is being observed in Srinagar and all the district and Tehsil headquarters of Kashmir valley on Friday against the army verdict about Pathribal case.
The shutdown call has been given by All Parties Hurriyat Conference.
Army last week closed the Pathribal case against its five people who were earlier found guilty by CBI in killing five civilians during a ‘fake encounter’ in 2000 in Pathribal, a south Kashmir village.
Shops and business establishments are closed while as traffic is plying very thinly.
Authorities have put many Hurriyat leaders either detention in their houses or arrested “as a precautionary measure”.
