Srinagar, May 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) has condemned the continued human rights violations by Indian troops and police personnel in the territory.
The JKPFL spokesman in a statement in Srinagar denounced the killing of youth, adding that such cheap tactics couldn’t suppress the Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination.
Expressing concern over large-scale arrest and detention of youth, he urged the international community to put pressure on India to release all unlawfully detained Kashmiri youth. The police under the cover of draconian laws are committing gross human rights violations in the territory, he deplored.
The spokesman said demanded release of party’s Chief Organiser, Muhammad Altaf Khan. ”The court has granted him bail but despite that he is not being released by the authorities.”
