Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, while expressing solidarity with the relatives of the victims, demanded stern punishment for the perpetrators of the attack. He also spoke to Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi, Abdul Basit over phone and offered condolences over the killings.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in his statement said that whosoever was behind the brutal massacre should be dealt with iron hand.
Other Hurriyet leaders including Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi, Syeda Aasiya Andrabi and Hurriyet AJK leader Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in their statements also denounced the attack.
Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front held a demonstration at Lal Chowk in Srinagar to express solidarity with the families of the victims of Lahore blast. JKLF leader Bashir Ahmad Butt led the protest. The participants were holding placards and raising slogans against the perpetrators of the Lahore attack.
