The doctor said that forces asked them for reasons to treat injured protesters.
Meanwhile, Resident Doctors Association (RDA) SMHS and associated hospitals in a statement expressed serious concern against harassment of hospital staff and lodged a strong protest against tear-gas shelling in the hospital emergency by Indian forces.
The RDA SMHS said four COPD (lung disease) patients were being managed in emergency room when tear gas shelling was done inside the emergency which caused severe suffocation to those poor patients. “This is gross violation of international laws,” the doctors association said.
“We received calls from many doctors that the even ambulances were not allowed by forces which have added to the shortage of doctors.”
