SRINAGAR: More than 60 people have sustained injuries during clashes that erupted between forces and protesters at Kakapora, in Pulwama district on Thursday.
The clashes erupted after three LeT militants were killed in a gunfight in the same area.
Reports said that 60 persons have been injured during clashes and were brought to the public health centre Kakapora.
They said that 16 injured were referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment. They added that those referred to Srinagar were having multiple pellet injuries.
A civilian was also hit by a bullet during clashes with forces in Koil area of Awantipora in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Thursday. He was shifted to District Hospital Pulwama where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
