[By Muhammad Aslam Mir]
For the last one week, people across Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have been continuously condemning the rising human rights violations in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) and the recent killings of more than 20 Kashmiris at the hand of Indian armed forces.
Following the latest bloodbath in IHK, All Parties Conference (APC) was convened in the capital city of AJK that also paid rich tributes to the people of IHK and assured them all political, moral and diplomatic support at the international level till the final and durable solution of the Kashmir issue.

The APC was convened by the government of AJK and was attended by the Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, President Masood Khan, Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir and Senior Minister Tariq Farooq. Party heads of AJK political and religious parties and the leaders of All Parties Hurriayt Conference (APHC) AJK chapter were also present at the conference.

The APC expressed the gratitude of the people and the government of Pakistan for showing solidarity day with the valiant people of IHK on April 6. Rising human rights abuses must be highlighted at the international level. As per the declaration issued at the end of APC, the participants also urged the federal government to make Kashmir Committee more active and arrange immediate Pakistani ambassadors and high commissioners conference in connection with the critical IHK situation.

In the APC, it was also decided to send delegations along the participants of AJK abroad for highlighting the sufferings of Kashmiris.

The APC also condemned the Indian unprovoked firing on both Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary and paid salute to the courage of the people living in these areas.

The APC also urged the political parties of Pakistan to make the Kashmir issue part of their manifesto in coming general elections and work for its political solution.

Meanwhile, hundreds of people took to the streets here on Saturday to condemn the state terrorism and recent killings in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

Anti-India protest rally was taken out from General Post Office (GPO) Chowk to Press Club here. Syed Salahuddin Supreme Commander Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) an indigenous armed outfit of IHK and Chairman United Jihad Council ( UJC) an amalgam of more than dozen IHK based indigenous freedom fighters organizations addressed the rally. Protesters were shouting anti-India and pro-freedom slogans like “ go India, go back, and ‘ we want freedom’.

While addressing the protesters, the Chairman UJC Salahuddin appealed the United Nations and other global powers to play their role for the permanent settlement of Jammu and Kashmir dispute and stop the rising human rights violations in IHK.

“Kashmiris are peace loving people and it is India that forces them to pick arms. We demand the permanent settlement of pre-1947 Kashmir as per the wishes of the people of Kashmir,” Chairman UJC Salahuddin added.

He said Kashmir is not a bilateral issue between Pakistan and India. Kashmiri people are the main party to the dispute and any settlement in future about this vexed issue is possible through tripartite talks. And we appeal the world community to come forward and put pressure on India and Pakistan for the durable settlement of Kashmir dispute to bring permanent peace and security in the region.

Chairman UJC Salahuddin said that Kashmir movement is indigenous and it has no any global agenda saying Kashmiris want the implementation of UN resolutions that had been passed by the world community under the banner of UN 70 years ago.

He said it is time for Pakistan to launch a diplomatic offence to expose India at the global level that how the largest democracy on the planet is blinding the girls, children and women in IHK.

“Political prisoners in IHK and other Indian Jails are in unhygienic condition and are not properly been given food in the prisons which is the worst kind of human rights violation. Human rights bodies and international human rights watchdogs must be given permission and access to visit IHK,” Chairman UJC Salahuddin concluded.
